A bikini on a toddler is not cute, it is disgusting

Trying to explain to a grandmother and great grandmother the importance of keeping my child out of a bikini at the age of 22 months is not only difficult, but shouldn't be required.  If a parent says "no bikinis" why is it poopoo'd by grandparents?

Our children are sexualized at a very early age in this society.  It disgusts me that it starts as early as 22 months.  She isn't even 2! The more I type about this, the angrier I become.  As a mother I am supposed to protect my child.  I should be able to leave her alone with her grandparents for 30 minutes without worrying about a "fashion show" in a bikini, complete with photographs!

Grandma & Great Grandma had been told SEVERAL times that as parents we did NOT want our daughter wearing a bikini.  We absolutely do not approve.  After I reminded them AGAIN when I saw what they were doing my ideas were dismissed as silly.  When it comes to the over sexualization of our kids I don't think there is such a thing as "over protective."

The bikini has been confiscated and the photographs deleted.

The more I think about it, the more pissed off I become.

What's next, are you going to feed her a peanut? (She's allergic but I'm sure that's just me being over protective.)
